1. Overview

SpinRoom connects to your Discogs account so you can browse your vinyl collection, log spins, and explore listening statistics. The App syncs collection data to our servers so it is available across your devices when you sign in.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use SpinRoom, we may process:

  • Account identifiers — An internal user ID, your Discogs username, and Discogs user ID after you connect
  • OAuth tokens — Encrypted Discogs access credentials stored on our servers so we can sync your collection
  • Collection data — Album titles, artists, labels, formats, years, cover image URLs, custom field values, and related metadata synced from Discogs
  • SpinRoom activity — Play/spin history, artist sort-name preferences, and sync job status
  • Subscription data — Purchase status, product ID, transaction references, and expiry dates from the app store where you subscribed
  • Technical data — App version, environment, crash reports (when enabled), and product analytics events such as screen views and feature usage. We do not intentionally send your collection contents or Discogs username to analytics
  • Device cache — Collection and image data cached locally on your device for performance and offline use; cleared when you sign out

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session
  • Sync and display your Discogs collection inside SpinRoom
  • Record spins, statistics, and preferences you choose to save
  • Process subscriptions and enforce free-tier limits
  • Operate, secure, and improve the App, including debugging and analytics
  • Respond to support requests and legal obligations

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process personal data on the bases of contract performance (providing the App), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement), and consent where required (for example, optional analytics where applicable law demands consent).

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run SpinRoom, including:

  • Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) — EU region
  • Discogs — When syncing your collection or fetching catalog metadata and images through their API
  • App stores — Subscription billing and purchase verification through the store where you downloaded the App
  • PostHog — Product analytics, when configured
  • Sentry — Crash reporting, when configured

6. Discogs data

This application uses Discogs' API but is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Discogs. "Discogs" is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.

When you connect Discogs, you direct us to retrieve data from your Discogs account. Discogs' own privacy policy and API terms apply to that data at source.

7. Retention

We retain your data while your SpinRoom account is active. You can clear your SpinRoom data from Settings, which deletes your profile, synced collection, play history, and subscription records from our servers.

Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before automatic deletion.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage of Discogs OAuth tokens, and row-level security so each user can access only their own data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can delete most SpinRoom-held data with "Clear SpinRoom data" in Settings. For other requests, contact support@mlpsoftwarellc.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

10. Children

SpinRoom is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. International transfers

Our primary database is hosted in the European Union. If you use SpinRoom from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the EU and in countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards where required.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on our website and in the App and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
