One window to share
The output is a normal resizable top-level window with taskbar presence — what meeting apps expect when you choose “share window.”
WindowThis is a lightweight Windows utility that turns a desktop region or several hand-picked app windows into one live, ordinary window. Share that window in Teams, Meet, Webex, Discord, or Zoom — without handing over your whole monitor.
One purchase. No subscription.
Teams, Google Meet, Webex, and Discord do not let you share a cropped region — only a single application window or an entire screen. Share the whole display and viewers see notifications, side apps, and everything else on a large or ultrawide monitor. Share one window instead and a small app floating on that wide desktop often looks tiny and awkward in the meeting — lots of empty space, or a blown-up view that is hard to read.
Select an Area draws any rectangle on your desktop (including multi-monitor layouts) and turns it into one normal window you pick in the meeting app. Confirm with a live preview, then share WindowThis - … from the window list.
You need slides, notes, and chat in one share, but the meeting app only allows one window at a time unless you share the whole screen.
Combine Windows is WindowThis’s standout feature: you click the exact windows to include. The output follows them as they move, and everything inside the frame that is not a picked window stays black — so viewers see your chosen apps, not whatever else happens to sit on a big monitor behind them or pop up in front of them. That guarantee is different from sharing a screen region, where any window in the rectangle can appear.
Owned dialogs (Open/Save, message boxes) stay part of the window you picked. Works in Zoom, Teams, and every app that can share a single window — including when Zoom’s built-in region tool is not the right fit.
The Capture page asks what you want to share — drag a region or combine windows — with your last-used mode marked so daily sharing stays fast.
Saved views, Ctrl+Shift+W, and tray access live in the same app. No account and no cloud setup.
Free is genuinely useful — no watermark, no time limit on the Free edition, and no reduced quality. Pro unlocks larger views, multiple outputs, and saved setups when you need them.

Global hotkey Ctrl+Shift+W, tray menu, and optional “start in last-used mode” so capture takes seconds, not minutes.
Live thumbnails, rename, keep on top, resize to 1:1 or half, move monitors, re-capture, and close — all from one place.
Screen content is processed on your PC. No account, no cloud relay, and no screen data in licensing traffic.
15, 30, or 60 FPS with high-quality scaling. Optional cursor overlay, presentation mode (F11), and a desktop border that never appears in the share.
Device-based Lemon Squeezy keys for teams — one shared key, one activation per machine, with offline grace after activation.
Under 30 seconds from hotkey to a shareable window — no virtual camera setup and no OBS scene graph.
Select an Area or Combine Windows from the Capture page, tray, or hotkey.
Drag a region or click the windows you need. Confirm with a live preview.
In your meeting app, share the WindowThis - … window — not your full screen.
Rename, pin on top, re-capture, or combine different windows from the Windows page.
WindowThis always shows up as one shareable window. Teams lacks native region sharing; Zoom includes a region tool but not multi-app composition with an app-only guarantee.
| App | Notes |
|---|---|
| Zoom | Zoom can share a portion of the screen on its own — you may not need Select an Area for region sharing in Zoom. WindowThis still adds value for Combine Windows (several apps in one share, with only those apps in the output). Tested on Windows; for smoothest window share use Settings → Share Screen → Advanced → “Secure share with window filtering.” |
| Microsoft Teams | Teams offers window or full screen only — no region crop — which is painful on large monitors. Use WindowThis Select an Area for a custom region, or Combine Windows for multi-app demos, then share the WindowThis - … window. |
| Google Meet (Chrome) | Chrome uses modern capture APIs; window share expected to work well. |
| Webex & Discord | Share the WindowThis output window from the app’s window picker. |
Protected or DRM content and windows that exclude capture may appear black — by design, not bypassed.
New installs include a 14-day WindowThis Pro trial — full features, no credit card. When the trial ends, continue on Free forever or upgrade once.
